Talent talk

Talent Talk is a series of panel talks in collaboration with Röhsska Museum
Design & Craft.

The purpose of these talks is for us to come together as a community and gather experts to share insights and perspectives on a particular topic within textiles and fashion. By starting a transparent conversation and spotlighting the potential as well as the challenges we face in our industry today, we believe we can raise awareness, inspire and find collaboration to accelerate circular solutions.

issue #3 – This Outfit Does Not Exist

October 16, 2025

Get your spot! Join us for an inspiring lecture with Dani Loftus, founder of ’This Outfit Does Not Exist’ and the digital fashion platform Draup.

As a pioneering artist, creator, and investor in digital fashion, she is redefining how we design, wear, and value clothing. By merging code-based couture with digital artistry, Dani’s work invites us to rethink not only what we wear, but how fashion can exist beyond the physical, unlocking new dimensions of sustainability, self-expression, and identity.

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with Saina Koohnavard, fashion designer, lecturer, and PhD student at the Swedish School of Textiles, moderated by Nana Sacko, project manager for Textile Movement Talent.

Thursday 16 October 18:00-20:00

Please note that the lecture and the panel discussion will be held in English.

issue #2 – Belonging, who gets a place in the public space?

Our speakers shared personal experiences, insights and visions of what inclusion in fashion can look like.

Perspectives ranged from who gets seen and heard in public spaces, to how fashion can be a tool for belonging – and why representation matters not just on the runway, but in everyday life.

Big thank you to our brilliant speakers, @charlottecmanning, @abbe_mandegar and @viktoryaabraham, for being so generous with both knowledge and personal stories!

Issue #1 – What does it take to sustain a circular business in fashion?

November 28, 2024

Our speakers shared everyday challenges, long-term potential and individual needs.
Perspectives that were shared evolved around consumer behavior, what scaling looks like for a circular business, why local production is important, the cultural aspect when it comes to valuing our clothes and why repairing needs to become the norm.

Big thank you to our brilliant speakers, Bella Simmons, Waxiu Shehu and Linnéa Magnusdotter, for being so generous with both knowledge and personal stories!
