textile movement talent

The Textile Movement Talent project invests in talent development within the cultural and creative industries, with a specific focus on fashion, textiles, and craft. The project empowers visionary designers in Västra Götaland who demonstrate exceptional creativity, craftsmanship, and a strong commitment to circularity.

Our Mission

Through a dedicated talent programme, the project offers a professional infrastructure that includes business development support, mentorship, access to laboratory facilities, sustainable materials, textile sorting, and re-design resources. By bridging the gap between education and industry, the program supports emerging talents in transforming creative ideas into sustainable, commercially viable businesses that contribute to a circular transition.

Talent programme

The talent programme provides tailored business development, professional mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to laboratory facilities at the Swedish School of Textiles and HDK-Valand for prototyping, development, and circular experimentation.

Talent talk

A key focus of the project is to strengthen recognition and visibility for emerging talents through a collaborative arena for networking, knowledge sharing, and dialogue, developed in partnership with the Röhsska Museum of Design and Craft. Within this platform, the project hosts a series of panel discussions addressing industry-specific challenges and opportunities related to advancing circularity in the textile and fashion industry.

Leadership

The project is led by Nana Sacko, Project Manager at Lindholmen Science Park, in partnership with the Swedish School of Textiles and HDK-Valand, and is supported by a strong network of partners with deep industry expertise committed to nurturing local talent.
